Skjærbrygga Rorbuer

Skjærbrygga is situated at Hjellskjæret in Outer Stamsund. The oldest part was built in 1845, after which the quay has been developed several times. It has served various activities like shipping office, landing and production of salted fish / stockfish. Hjellskjæret also used to have lots of drying racks for stockfish. In order to create new activity for Hjellskjæret, the quay was renovated 2000/2001 with complete exterior restoration as well as redecorating the ground floor into restaurant, bar and conference room. Today Skjærbrygga has become a gem and a natural centre in Stamsund.
