Northern light safari

In the arctic winter nights in northern Norway you can experience the exquisite dance of the Northern Lights against a backdrop of stars and shooting stars!

On this trip we take you out to the darkest fjords to witness the Northern Lights in the best possible conditions.

Out on the sea we are not disturbed by artificial lighting, and the Northern Lights glow with their true colours.

The Northern Lights are usually best seen between
17:00 to 01:00 if conditions are right, but we have seen very strong Northern Lights as early as 15:00 in the afternoon.

-The Northern Lights mostly appear on clear cold nights.

-They occur when particles from the sun collide with gases in the atmosphere.

-Some people claim they can hear a sound from the Northern Lights.

-They appear 100 to 120km above the earth's surface.

-Aurora Borealis is the Latin name for the Northern Lights.
